Gordon McKernan graduated with his law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1992. Shortly thereafter, he joined his firm and has been practicing law ever since. He is the owner of Gordon McKernan Injury Lawyers. After witnessing the devastating effects of Legionnaires’ Disease outbreaks across the country, Gordon felt a powerful call to action to branch out of Louisiana to provide support to those in need across the nation. To answer that call, he started Legionnaires Lawyers, a specialized practice dedicated to fighting for victims of Legionella contamination from coast to coast.

While deeply rooted in the Gulf South, Gordon now extends his advocacy nationwide to handle complex catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims. Because Legionella bacteria outbreaks frequently stem from negligent water management at national hotel chains, cruise lines, and major medical systems, his national reach ensures property owners are held accountable anywhere in the United States. Reflecting his commitment to high-stakes litigation, Gordon has personally handled over 40 cases involving personal injuries with a verdict or settlement value in excess of $1,000,000 in Louisiana.

Gordon is married to his high school sweetheart, Shannon, and they have four children. Gordon is actively involved with his family and church. He enjoys reading, traveling, hunting, fishing, exercising, and coaching his children’s sports teams.
